The story so far ....
Accidents happen! Somethings just evolve from out of nowhere, sometimes there is no rhyme or reason.
As many expats will attest when moving to live abroad, initial plans don't always turn out as expected. So providing property management services to clients in France and Spain over a 15 year period didn't always pay the bills and so necessity does really become the mother of invention - especially when so many clients tightened their belts in the financial crash that occured in 2008.
As our reputation grew we got asked for more and more services - which included supplying interesting French furniture - predominately home office furniture and four poster beds! So we would buy furniture from "Trocs' and people getting rid of their furniture and lightly renovate it and supply it on. This became a major part of our business and were would get phone calls from all over France asking for us to source a particular piece - many then being brought back to the UK for the client's first UK abode.
Over the past few years the availability of this furniture has become more and more difficult to source, largely being of very suspect quality and hugely over priced for what it was. That combined with a looming Brexit made us once again have to think diversely to provide for the continuing demand for our customer base, hence Bureau Elegance was born.
In 2019 we contacted our previous customers and current clients to gauge the styles of furniture they would like us to provide and the result is what you see here, style elegance, function and form, but surprising to us also much more contemporary styles! With Brexit quickly approaching we moved our operation back to the UK so our clients could be catered for without interruption and with that came new clients outside of our usual demographic so now we provide the same personalised service and quality but to clients that have only the desire for a quality home office furniture we provide.
